A Year of WorkWise for Screen

It has been an incredible twelve months since we launched WorkWise for Screen. As we look back on our first year, we are incredibly proud of the steps we’ve taken together to make the screen industries a fairer, safer, and better place to work.

From launching digital tools to hosting live conversations, here is a look at what we’ve been up to over the past year:

Building a Free, Comprehensive Platform

We successfully launched our core digital platform, designed to be a one-stop shop for the industry. Whether you are an employer looking to take better care of your team or a freelancer seeking to stay on safe legal ground, our platform offers the essential tools and guidance you need to navigate the workplace with confidence.

Consulting with Industry Professionals

WorkWise for Screen wasn’t built in a vacuum. To ensure our resources hit the mark, we’ve spent the year consulting directly with industry professionals. By listening to those on the ground, we’ve been able to deliver the practical resources you actually need to make your daily work life better.

Presenting Key Elements of Good Work

Good work shouldn’t be a mystery. We’ve broken down the "Key Elements of Good Work" into practical, easy-to-implement actions. To keep these ideas front-of-mind, we also released a series of beautifully illustrated postcards—including our popular "Relationships" edition—to serve as daily reminders of what a healthy workplace looks like.

Producing a Weekly Podcast

Our podcast has become a staple for many in the industry. Every week, we’ve released episodes featuring expert advice to help you supercharge your commute or coffee break. We’ve covered everything from legal rights to mental health, bringing professional development directly to your headphones.

Recruiting Trusted Voices

This year, we’ve brought together some of the most respected voices in the industry for our live events. By recruiting trusted experts to share their valuable insights and real-world perspectives, we’ve fostered a community where people can learn from shared experiences.

Mapping Existing Resources

We know there is already great work happening out there. Part of our mission this year has been mapping existing resources so we can signpost you to the best help available, while identifying and working to fill the gaps that still exist in the industry.

What Are We Doing Next?

While we’ve achieved a lot in our first year, we’re just getting started. We have big plans for 2026, but we want to build them with you.
