New Year, New Legislation, New Tools

JANUARY 2026

We’re welcoming in 2026 with some free tools built specifically for screen businesses that will help you prepare and stay compliant. Designed to help you build fairer, stronger workplaces while getting ready for the Employment Rights Act, these tools are created by the lawyer-led WorkWise for Screen. They are practical, easy to understand, and put into practice. All of our new tools align with CIISA standards and the Keep Britain Working review, offering a practical way to build positive, productive workplaces that last.

Do This, FrameWorks, and the Compliance Navigator offer you a smarter, simpler way to organise your business for the incoming employment rights and expectations. Everything you need, in one place for free.

Compliance Navigator

Plain English. Ready to use.

Developed with industry bodies alongside HR and legal professionals, the Compliance Navigator offers legally correct model contract clauses and policy wording you can use straight away. Alongside these are explainers and other resources that help support you every step of the way. By drawing from a shared library, you’ll help close resource gaps, avoid duplication, and support best working practices across the sector.

We’re still developing this, so contact us if there’s something you need or want to know about staying compliant in your business.

FrameWorks

FrameWorks are guidelines designed to support good working practices at every stage of your project — from prep to run to wrap.  The online versions include links to all the resources you need, plus a handy checklist. It’s easier (and cheaper) to design your projects with good and fair work concepts in mind from the start. And you’ll be reassured that you’ll be legally compliant too. With the right fundamentals in place, compliance becomes simpler and more sustainable. To access them, sign up for a free profile at WorkWise for Screen.

Do This: First Steps for a Thriving Workplace

Do This spotlights simple, evidence-based actions that will improve your workplace culture. Grounded in research from the Institute for Employment Studies, these aren’t feel-good slogans — they’re practical steps that make change stick and help you embed good work from the ground up.

Contact us if you’d like a printed set of these postcards in English or Welsh to share or display at work.
